Two pharmacists convicted for 20 RI in narcotic case

Mumbai, Dec 19 (UNI) A special NDPS court here has sentenced two pharmacists to 20 years of Rigorous Imprisonment and levied a fine of Rs one lakh each for their alleged involvement in manufacturing banned narcotic substance Mephe drone (MD) in 2017, an official from the Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) said on Friday.
Thr duo Pravin Waghela, 34, from Bandra and Ramdas Nayak, 40, from Hubli, Karnataka had intended to export the narcotic substance abroad, an official from Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) said here on Friday.
The court has acquitted another accused Firdos Nathani alias Firoz alias Mahesh Patel alias Mukeshbhai Patel from Navsari in Gujarat for lack of evidence.
