ICAR-CIFT partners with leading manufacturers for commercialisation of food processing equipment

ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), with Kraftwork Solar Private Limited, Kochi; Agro Threestar Machineries Pvt Ltd., Alappuzha; Dellmarc, Thrissur; and Capt Steel Equipment & Furniture, Perumbavoor, Ernakulam.
Dr George Ninan, director, ICAR-CIFT, signed and exchanged the agreements with representatives of the partnering companies. He said, “The collaboration is expected to improve the availability of advanced food processing equipment while ensuring affordability and quality.”
These companies specialise in producing dryers, fish vending kiosks, solar tunnel dryers, fish smoking kilns, solar dryers, and other innovative equipment. ICAR-CIFT developed a range of cost-effective and energy-efficient food processing technologies designed to advance the fisheries and allied sectors. To make these technologies more accessible to stakeholders at affordable prices and promote large-scale commercialisation, the institute has empanelled these firms to manufacture the equipment.
